Do yo want to give your life to Him and accept God's gift of salvation and love to mankind?
Well read the following carefully with a heart full of faith, believing that God will remain faithful and true to His word.
Please start by reading the following passage of Scripture found in Ephesians 2 8-9 (KJV), “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
We read here that we are saved through faith and that it is a gift from God. This goes to show that salvation is not based on human efforts or abilities but on God’s gift to mankind.
The question is, do you know what that gift is? Well, let’s look at the following verses found in John chapter 3 and verses 16 and 17, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
What a gift! Can you believe that? The gift in question here is salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I can assure you that this gift not only was very valuable but the price that was paid was very high; He died so we could be saved.
But to understand all this better I’ll invite you now to read a few passages with me...
The first one is found in Isaiah 53:3-10 (KJV), "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand."
This is a prophetic passage of scripture by the prophet Isaiah talking about the Messiah (Jesus Christ) and the suffering that He would have to go through during His earthly ministry.
The second passage is found in Matthew 16:21 (KJV), "From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day."
And our final one is in Mark 10:33-34 (KJV), "Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again."
These passages show us that Christ had to suffer many things at the hands of men and that it was for our sake. He was imprisoned, beaten, spat upon, mocked, tortured, a crown of thorns was placed on His head, He was crucified with criminals, nails pierced His hands and feet and finally, He died.
It is written in Romans 10:9-10 (KJV), "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
You see salvation is accessible to any and everyone. It’s not about what you have done or how you lived your life, whether good or bad, what matters at the end of it all is that you place your faith in Jesus Christ, God’s gift to the world for salvation.
And you can see this for yourself in Romans 3:22-24 (KJV), "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:"
I highlighted the word "all" here because we sometimes come up with reasons why we are better than the other guy out there but at the end of the day, righteousness is found in nothing and no one else but in Jesus Christ.
Indeed, Jesus Christ, God’s gift to mankind is free for all those who receive Him but it did cost Him a heavy price: His life.
Today I would like to encourage you to place your faith in God and in His Son Jesus Christ because He is more than able to save you and take care of you.
Value this gift with your life because Christ paid a price that no one else could have paid and suffered dearly so that we could be reconciled with God today.
Now, if you are serious about Knowing Jesus Christ Personally as your Lord and Savior take a moment and say this prayer by faith, believing in your heart that God will do what you ask for:
"Lord Jesus, I realize that you came into this world to save men from their sin and from a life of eternity without you.
I know that you paid a high price so we could be saved. You came in the flesh and died on a cross so that I could be saved today.
God I confess that I am a sinner and that without you in my life there is no hope for me. I also recognize Jesus Christ as your Son and the Savior of the world.
At this very moment God, I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and I am asking you Jesus to come into my heart today and save me.
Cleanse me from all my sins and make me me into a new creature, may my past life be no more and may I live a new life today.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit Oh God, and help me to grow daily as I ready your word and pray.
Come into my life today Lord, and make yourself at home.
In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!"
If you have prayed this prayer by faith, truly believing in God I would like to tell you by the authority placed in the Word of God that you are saved. You are a new creation, you are now a child of God.
Here are two passages that confirm that:
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
- John 1:12-13 (KJV), "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
At this point as an "infant" in Christ I strongly urge you to set some time daily to read from God's word--the Bible--and to pray. It is essential in the life of every believer--those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior--and will help you develop your relationship with God . If I may, I would like to encourage you to start by reading the book of John as it speaks at length about Jesus Christ, the word that became flesh.
As you read from your Bible ask the Lord to speak to you through His word, take your time, read carefully and repeatedly.

Finally, as a means of developing yourself and growing in the Lord, we strongly encourage you to find a gospel believing, Bible-centered congregation where you can meet on a weekly basis with fellow believers. Pray and ask the Lord to guide and direct you in this area. Interacting with other believers is an essential part of the Christian life so don't neglect it. God designed things that way.
We at PracticalWord.com join the angels in rejoicing over one sinner that repents:
- Luke 15:10 (KJV), "Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."
I say to you rejoice and be glad because this is the most important decision any human being can make.
Blessings my new Brother/Sister in Christ!
